Volvo FH12 lowliner

Hallo Zusammen
Eine kleine bauberichte aus Norwegen. Eine Volvo FH12 460
2005 modell. Es tot mir leidt aber Ich denke Ich schreibt in English wegen meine deutch ist nicht gut genug.



I thought of making a model in another setting than usual and then tought of using snowchains from KFS. I bought them some time ago but it was an hell of a job. At last my son Adrian took over and finnished the chains.




The tires are the lowprofil from KFS and the the boggi are a 6x4 konv.
kit from KFS but I used it as a 6x2 with twin wheels on both axels.



Adrian wanted to lower the floor in the cabin and got the job done before I painted the interior.



I will have to continiue at a later point...

oh what a nice Volvo i think you need original Volvo Mirrors, because Tamiya has only the Mercedes Benz Mirror.

Call Volvospeed he has some original Volvo-Mirrors on his trucks.

Ähhh, wieso Tamiya. Der Volvo sollte doch 1/24 von Italeri sein und Tamiya hat den Maßstab 1/14,5 !!!!!!

Nice model, but you should take care of the way how to add pictures in your postings. It is very simple, just click on the picture symbol when adding a posting and copy the adress of the picture on your webspace in it.

Hi All
I hope I have learned to put out the photoes right by know.
In the headlights I have used Bare Metal folie.

And the cabin is sprayed with can

I make my own waterdecals on a testing level.

Hier are the interior mounted and You can see a roadmap laying on the
bed.

I think i got the photowork right at last and wish to contribute even
more pics.
Hier are the engine and fueltank already mounted and a tool box
are to be.The fueltank comes from a DAF-kit and the toolbox are M&G Moulding product.

Coming along nicely...

Had to try on the deck
I don't know what You call this items in neither german or english.

I had a little accsident with the frame. It is an old Scania 142 frame from an old kit and I wanted to use it too add it on this chassies.
It was painted and I was supposed to put it in brakefluid for some time.
I didn't look properly on the can and after a while I couldn't se any progress. I then tried to rubb a little bit but then found out the frame didn't take it. I took a new look at the can and found out I had taken thinner insted of the brakefluid. The frame was pretty loose at this time but I mannaged to save it

The chains is from KFS and they comes with a chainbox for the chassi.
It containes a long chain that needs to be cut into long enough pieces.
They are put together with steelthreads from from an electrical wire.
We decided to put more chains that we're supposed to, so the chains were closer to each other. We did that to get a more norwegian look.
