dear paul,

you have made a great job. I think the Scharnhorst isn´t your first model. Right??
Would you enrich our forum with additional pictures of other finished Projects?
You can upload this in the picture gallery (Bildergalerie).

Good morning all,

Today I shall start posting the pictures of the main radar station, which formed part of the range finder station as well.

Basically the station is made from five parts, namely:
1) The armoured observation post, on which the range finder is located.
2) the main forward 10mtr range finder.
3) The fore top open observation post, fitted in 1942.
4) The FUMO 27 Radar.
5) The FuMB 4 SAMOS Radar.

The whole assembly is made up of over 900 pieces, and is logged with over a hundred pictures, in order to share the construction proceedures with you all.

I shall start off with the FuMB 4 SAMOS Radar.

The main radar frame made from polystyrene rods.

0.3mm diameter copper wire to form the di-poles.

A sample di-pole made from 7 pieces.

The other pieces awaiting assembly.

Two di-pole assemblies ready.

The thire di-ple being assembled.

Placing the di-poles on to the main frame.

The other di-poles, ready for assembly. As you can see, each dipole is made up of 10 pieces and await another three pieces. So, in all each di-pole shall be made up from 13 pieces when ready.

The eight main di-poles are attached to the main frame.

Another view of the main di-poles.

The othr four smaller di-poles, which shall be installed horizontally.

The seven small poles, which shall also be installed horizontally.

The main frame with the seven small poles.

The main frame with all the required parts.

The final assembly.
Cheers.

Hallo Paul,

I have removed the photos with the German "Hakenkreuz".

It is not allowed by German Law to show them.
Next time I will see some on your photos I have to remove the whole thread.

Nearly all pictures are not correct shown in your threads. Please change this.

Hallo Roland, ^^

The dual power calculator has only served as a base to place the white circular plastic pieces, which formed part of the radar assembliy. This way I could take the photo of the di-pole circular bases, and post the picture in the forum.
Cheers.

Hallo my friends, :)

I am now posting the most important part of the radar assembly, which is the 10mtr range finder. The range finder formed the base for the support of the two radars.

There are some 80 pictures so There may be a possibility that I will not post them all this evening. But by tomorrow morning You will have the full set in this fine forum.

Hope you will enjoy and like the assembly. :tanz:
