Hallo Roland,

Yes you can see the Tichy train rivets in the last set of pictures, that I have posted this morning.

0.3mm diameter rivets, for the base plates of the radars surge arrestors and dtabilizors.
0.5mm diameter rivets, for the base crown locking ring.

The rest of the rivets and bolt heads and CMK resin - very expensive. I will not buy that type again. 8 Euro per 60 pieces.
Cheers.

Hello Uwe,

Don't worry about your English, I wish I could speak a bit of German, as I would communicate better with all of you.

Regarding your question, yes the base of the funnel tapers down on both the front and the rear, so part of the aircraft hanger over rides the base of the funnel. Some plans also show a walkway going from the front of the aircraft hanger to the funnel and opens towards the range finder housings, located on either side of the funnel. Must check that before I do anything, as sometimes information is false, so one must always stick to copies of original photos whenever possible.
Cheers.

Hey Paul!

Absolutely overwhelming pics! Thanks for sharing them! Although I'd never have nerves for doing such a big project, I am fascinated by looking at those pics!
It's kind of unbelievable, to be honest, all those tiny details, the love you obviously can afford for this ship, great!

Thanks for sharing the progress in building this ship, I'm gladly looking forward seeing new steps!

Yours,
Florian

Hello Florian,

Thanks for the kind words and for looking in my log.At the moment I am working on the fore top balcony, on which the radar was mounted. But the planking is very difficult to place, especially around the circular contours of the balcony. But bit by bit, I shall complete the planking and switch to the next job, which is the parapet wall of the balcony.

Shall post some more pictures tomorrow.
Cheers.

Finally I found some time to finalize the wooden decking of the observation platform.

Below are some pictures.

I still have a lot of work to do, but the staining of the wood is already in progress. After that, I will have to carry out all the lining with a balck coloured 0.25mm permanent fine liner.

Hello Roland, :ahoi:

Please accept my sincere apologies. :( I had to take care of the house and carry out some maintenance works. especially on the roof. :schrei: My wife, gave me a very strict order - first work and then modelling. Only this week, I started off again, working a bit on the tower operations bridge.
As soon as I have some Photos, I will surely post them.

DON'T WORRY, I DID NOT FORGET ABOUT THIS FORUM.

Hello My Friends,

Sorry for my long absence. As I have already explained, my house needed some urgent repairs and maintenance, so I had to dedicate some of my time to house duties. :bang:

Now I am back again, and working on the conning tower captain's command bridge. I shall be able to post some pictures in the next coming days.

I am also trying to detail the inside of the bridge, but have only a couple of pictures and not clear. I would be very grateful if anyone can post some pictures of the captain's bridge - especially the internal. This will enable me to construct all the required detail. :kaffee:
Cheers.
