Scratch 1/24 DAF DROPS British Army

Hallo von Bonnie Schottland

Mir bitte verzeihen alle nicht übersetzend. Ich glaube, daß der Computer nicht immer richtig irgendwie übersetzt.

This a build I have been working on for quite some time and I hope by putting my work on here that I may benifit from a lot of help and experience that you German model builders have by the truck load.

I have been amazed by the detail that you all put into your models including lighting in many. I can but learn from the attention to detail and pride in your work that is clearly followed through to the end.

I hope that you you like my effort and would be pleased to hear any hints and tips that I can incorporate in the work still to be done.

WOW!!! Thats a really nice project you have there!! :respekt:
Very cool idea to build that type of vehicle! It seems to be a lot of scratchbuilding
I really looks very good! :ok: :ok:
As you may have seen I have a similar project ongoing a Scania R480 8X8 Army vehicle but it is not that much scratchbuilding.
Please keep up the good work and post more pictures :ok:

Best regards
Håkan

Hi Hakan

Thanks for the compliments. I am really enjoying this project even though it has been on the go for a few years now. The scratchbuilding does get the brain cells going to try getting things looking right.

I was getting to know a chap on another site Steve (BARV) Cruickshank who was a master at building from nothing and he was giving me lots of ideas and hints or tips when I got stuck.

Sadly he passed away end of last year so I am now determined to get on with this as a sort of tribute to him and his work. It will be done to my best but I know that it will never match the standard of his work.

I am going to have a look at your 8X8. I will be following your progress too for sure.

All the very best
